Rules and Terms of Use
1. Definitions
- Jammeet — an online platform that connects musicians, bands and rehearsal spaces.
- User — any natural or legal person who accesses or uses Jammeet.
- User Content — texts, photos, videos, audio recordings, profile descriptions and other materials that a user uploads, posts or otherwise makes available through the platform.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By using the Jammeet platform you agree to these Terms in full. If you do not accept the Terms, please do not use the platform. Jammeet reserves the right to periodically update or modify the Terms; changes take effect by publishing a new version on the website. Continued use after publication of changes will be considered acceptance of the new Terms.
3. Registration and User Account
- Access to the platform is generally open; however, some features require registration.
- During registration the user chooses a username and password and is responsible for the security and safekeeping of their access credentials.
- The user undertakes not to use offensive or inappropriate usernames; Jammeet reserves the right to remove or modify accounts that violate this requirement.
- In case of suspicion of unauthorized account use, the user must immediately notify Jammeet at [email protected].
4. Rights and Obligations of the User
The user undertakes to:
- use the platform in accordance with applicable laws and these Terms;
- not publish content that infringes intellectual property rights or the rights of third parties;
- not publish illegal, offensive, threatening, racist, abusive, false or other content that incites hatred or harm;
- not publish trade secrets or personal data of third parties without their consent;
- not perform spamming, unwanted mass correspondence or automated collection of other users' data;
- not distribute viruses, malware or other programs that may damage the platform or other users' devices.
Jammeet reserves the right to remove, modify or refuse to publish content that it considers contrary to these Terms or applicable law, without prior notice.
5. License to Content
By publishing any content on the Jammeet platform, the user grants Jammeet the following rights.
- License: a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, transferable and sublicensable license to use, reproduce, display, distribute and publicly communicate that content for purposes of operating the platform (including display on the website, sending newsletters, promotion and archiving).
- Duration: the license lasts as long as the content exists on the platform or until the user requests its removal (subject to technical and legal limitations).
- The user retains copyright and other rights in relation to the published content.
Jammeet may edit or adapt content for technical display or to align with the platform's style, and where possible will respect the original attribution of the content.
6. Moderation and Reporting Procedure
- Users may report content they believe violates the Terms or the law by email to [email protected] or via the available reporting form.
- Jammeet will review the report within a reasonable time. If the content presents an immediate danger or legal violation, Jammeet reserves the right to temporarily or permanently remove the content without prior notice.
- Users have the right to request an explanation of a content removal decision; Jammeet will attempt to respond in a timely and transparent manner.
7. Copyright Protection (Procedure for Reporting Infringement)
If you believe your copyrighted material has been published on Jammeet without permission, send us the following information to [email protected]:
- identification of the protected work;
- the exact location (URL) of the material you claim infringes your rights;
- contact details enabling us to reach you (name, email, phone);
- a statement that you believe the use of the material is not authorized; and
- the signature of the rights holder or an authorized person. Jammeet will take appropriate action upon receipt of the notice in accordance with applicable regulations.
8. Privacy and Personal Data Protection
Jammeet processes personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy. This policy lists: the legal basis for processing, purposes of processing, retention periods, data subject rights (access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, data portability) and contact details for privacy inquiries. In short:
- Jammeet collects and processes data you provide directly (e.g., during registration) and data collected automatically (e.g., cookies, access logs).
- The user has the right to request access, rectification or deletion of their data in accordance with the GDPR and Croatian law. For privacy inquiries write to [email protected].
9. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Jammeet uses cookies and similar technologies to improve site performance, analytics and content personalization.
10. Payments and Third-Party Services
If Jammeet offers paid services, specifications, payment terms, refund policy and dispute resolution procedures will be clearly stated at purchase or in a separate agreement. Jammeet may use third-party payment providers; the user accepts that payment data will be processed by the relevant service providers according to their policies. Jammeet may contain links to third-party content. Jammeet is not responsible for the accuracy, legality or security of third-party content.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by the applicable laws of the Republic of Croatia, Jammeet is not liable for special, incidental, consequential or indirect damages arising from the use of the platform. Jammeet's total liability is limited to the amount of actual direct damage proven before a competent court, and in any case will not exceed the amount of fees actually paid by the user in the twelve (12) months preceding the occurrence of the damage, if such fees existed.
12. Indemnification
The user undertakes to indemnify, defend and hold Jammeet harmless from all claims, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from the user's breach of these Terms, law or the rights of third parties.
13. Termination, Suspension and Deletion of Accounts
Jammeet reserves the right to temporarily or permanently suspend or delete a user account without prior notice in case of violation of the Terms, suspected abuse or when required by legal obligations. The user may close their account at any time according to the instructions available on the platform.
14. Changes to Services and Terms
Jammeet may from time to time change, suspend or discontinue parts or all of the platform. Jammeet will endeavor to notify users in a timely manner of significant changes. Continued use is considered acceptance of the changes.
15. Jurisdiction and Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the law of the Republic of Croatia. For any amicable solutions the competent court in the Republic of Croatia shall have jurisdiction according to applicable regulations.
16. Other Provisions
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in force. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the user and Jammeet regarding the subject matter and replace all prior agreements.
